Open a PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, HEIC, TIFF, SVG or PSD and save it as JPG, PNG or WEBP. The card above the canvas shows the new file size before you download; a JPG gets a white backdrop where it was transparent.
- Click Choose an image to convert, or drop a file anywhere on the page.
- In the card above the canvas, click JPG, PNG or WEBP. For a single file the card suggests PNG for a JPG source and JPG for everything else, and shows the original size, the new size and the pixel dimensions.
- Click Download JPG (or PNG, WEBP). The file keeps its name with the new extension.
- For AVIF, a matte color other than white, an exact quality or a size limit, click More options to open Export As.
- How do I convert WEBP to JPG without uploading my photo?
- Open the WEBP in Photopip and click JPG in the card, then Download JPG. The encoding runs in your browser; nothing is sent to a server. WEBP files saved from web pages open like any other image.
- What happens to a transparent background when I convert to JPG?
- JPG cannot store transparency, so the card fills those areas with white. PNG and WEBP keep them. For another color, click More options and change the Matte color in Export As.
- Why does WEBP not work in Safari or on an iPhone?
- Safari, and every browser on iPhone and iPad, cannot write WEBP (or AVIF, which falls back to WEBP), so a file saved there as WEBP holds PNG data. Choose JPG or PNG there.
- Can I convert a PSD or an SVG to JPG?
- Yes. A PSD opens with its layers and an SVG is rasterized when opened; pick a format in the card and the flattened image is saved. HEIC photos from an iPhone open in any browser: outside Safari a decoder of about 2 MB is downloaded once and the photo is read on your device.
