How to use it

Choose a JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC and Photopip writes it into a PDF. Pages are A4 by default, with the picture centered inside a 12.7 mm margin; switch to Image size for a page exactly as large as the picture. Select two or more images at once to get one PDF, a page each.

  1. Click Choose images, or drop one or more JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC files on the page. In the file dialog, hold Ctrl (Windows) or Command (macOS) to select several.
  2. Pick a page size in the PDF card. A4 is selected: A4 and Letter scale the picture into a 36-point (12.7 mm, half-inch) margin, leaving 184.6 × 271.6 mm on A4, and center it, turning the page landscape for wide images. Image size makes each page exactly as large as the picture (its pixels at its resolution); when several files are chosen it uses 72 points per inch, so a phone photo makes a page over a meter wide. Use it for screenshots and scans, not for printing. With several images, the card lists the pages in order; use the up and down arrows to move a page.
  3. Check the PDF size shown in the card, then click Download PDF.
  4. To crop, straighten or add text first, click Keep editing, make the changes and choose File > Export > Export as PDF... from the editor.
How do I put several JPGs into one PDF?
Select them together in the file dialog, or drop them on the page at once. Each image becomes one page at the page size you picked, in the order listed in the card; the arrows next to each file move it up or down. Twelve phone photos at JPEG quality 92 make a PDF of several megabytes, because every page stores the whole photo; compress or shrink the images first if the PDF has to go by email.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The PDF is written in the browser tab: each page is the picture re-encoded as a JPEG at quality 92, in a PDF 1.4 any reader opens. Nothing is sent to a server.
Can it convert PDF to JPG as well?
Yes. The PDF to JPG page opens a PDF, lets you pick the pages and 72, 150 or 300 ppi, and writes one JPG per page or a zip of all pages, on your device.
Image size or A4: how big is the picture on the page?
Pick A4 (or Letter in the US and Canada) for printing or a form. The 12.7 mm margin leaves 184.6 × 271.6 mm; a wide picture gets a landscape page, and a 4:3 phone photo such as 4032 × 3024 fills its height at about 246 × 185 mm. Small pictures are scaled up too, so a 300-pixel QR code prints soft. Image size keeps a screenshot or scan at its pixels divided by its resolution; with several files that is 72 ppi, so a phone photo gives a page over a meter wide. Transparent areas of a PNG turn white, since each page is stored as a JPEG.
What are the limits?
On a computer every pixel goes in; on iPhone and iPad, photos over about 16.7 megapixels are scaled down when they open.
