Resize an image to exact pixels or a percentage

Get a photo at the exact width and height you need, without stretching it.

, or drop one here

How to use it

Open the photo and the card above the canvas asks for the new size: type a width or height in pixels, or pick a preset, and the other side follows so the photo keeps its proportions. Making a photo smaller keeps it sharp, and the file downloads in its original format.

  1. Click Choose an image to resize, or drop an image anywhere on the page.
  2. Type a width or height in pixels, or pick a preset: 1920 × 1080, 1080 × 1080, 1200 × 630, 800 px wide or 50%. Presets scale the photo to fit inside that size; Keep aspect ratio is on by default.
  3. Click Download. The canvas resizes too, so you can keep editing. For centimeters, print resolution or the resampling method, click More options… to open Image Size.
Will the image lose quality?
Making it smaller keeps it sharp. Making it much bigger looks soft: Image > Super Resolution (2× or 4×, Lanczos resampling with detail-preserving sharpening) is clearer than a plain enlarge, but it does not invent detail.
Can I resize an image in centimeters?
Yes. Click More options… to open Image Size, set the unit to Centimeters and type the resolution your printer asks for, such as 300. The same dialog (Image > Image Size) also takes inches and percent and lets you pick the resampling method.
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes: select several files when you choose, and the card resizes them all and downloads a ZIP. Each one is scaled to fit the size you type, so a picture smaller than that is enlarged and looks soft; pick a size no bigger than your smallest image. A side can be up to 16384 pixels and the whole image up to 100 megapixels (about 16.7 megapixels on iPhone and iPad); a bigger size is scaled down proportionally to fit. Resizing runs in your browser; the photos are not uploaded.
