Editing happens on your device
The Photopip editor opens, edits and saves your files inside your browser. Images and documents are not uploaded when you edit, export or save — unless you use one of the cloud features below, and then only what that request needs.
AI cutout, AI removal and AI upscale (no account needed)
Select Subject, Remove Background, the ID photo and product photo tools, and Object Selection find the subject with an AI model. When you use them, a downscaled copy of the image (at most 2048 pixels on the long side) is sent to our server, where the AI model returns a mask; the cutout itself is then made in your browser at full resolution. Removing objects, people, text or watermarks sends only the area around what you remove (at most 1536 pixels on the long side) to our server, where an AI model fills it in and returns the patch. Super Resolution 2× (Upscale 2×) sends the image (at most 1440 pixels on the long side) to our server, where an AI model returns it at twice the width and height. These images, masks, patches and enlarged images are used only for that request: the copies used to process it are deleted automatically within one hour. To limit abuse of these free features we keep request counts per IP address (stored only as a daily salted hash) and per signed-in account for two days. If you prefer nothing to leave your device, choose Fast in Preferences › AI Assistant › Select Subject, which works by background color only, Content-Aware Fill (on this device) under Remove Clutter / Remove Tool for object removal, and Preserve Details (on this device) under Super Resolution.
Account (optional)
You can use the editor without an account. If you sign in — with a one-time email code or with Google — we store your email address, the name and profile picture Google provides (Google sign-in only), your plan, your interface language and when you last used each Pip product. One account works for Photopip and Vectorpip.
Cloud AI assistant (signed-in users)
When you send a request to the cloud AI assistant, your message and a downscaled picture of the current canvas are sent to our server, where an AI model produces the answer. Unless you turn off "Keep my AI conversations" in Account, the conversation (text and the pictures sent) is stored for 30 days so we can investigate failures and improve the assistant.
Feedback and error reports
If you send feedback we store your message, the optional contact email you type, and — only if you tick them — a screenshot of the canvas or the current document. When something breaks, the editor sends an error report with the error message, browser, build number and basic document facts (size, layer count, current tool); never layer names, text content or pixels.
Usage statistics
For signed-in users we count which editor commands are used per day (for example "export PNG: 3"). On photopip.com we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand visits; they receive event names and technical metadata only (command, file format, timing) — no file names, layer names, text or images, and Clarity does not record the canvas.
Where data is processed
Editing, text recognition and face detection run on your device. AI cutout, AI removal, AI upscale, the cloud AI assistant, your account, feedback and error reports are handled on our servers and by the hosting, database and analytics services we use, which process data only on our behalf and under our instructions. Account records are stored in the United States.
How long we keep it
AI cutout, AI removal and AI upscale images, masks, patches and enlarged images: deleted automatically within one hour. Their request counts: 2 days. AI conversations and their pictures: 30 days. AI request records: 90 days; per-day usage totals: up to 2 years. Error reports: 90 days after last occurrence. Feedback messages: kept to improve the product (spam is deleted after 30 days); feedback attachments: 180 days. Account data: until you delete your account.
Your choices
You can turn off storage of AI conversations, sign out, or delete your account at any time in Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, usage and AI records; feedback you sent stays but is no longer linked to you. To ask for a copy or correction of your data, contact us.
Cookies and local storage
The editor stores your preferences, recent files, autosave data and (if signed in) your sign-in session in your browser's local storage. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies on photopip.com.
Children
Photopip is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

AI 抠图、AI 修复和 AI 放大（不需要登录）
选择主体、移除背景、证件照和商品主图、对象选择用 AI 模型找主体。使用时，一张缩小的图片（长边最多 2048 像素）会发到我们的服务器，由 AI 模型算出一张遮罩返回；抠图本身随后在你的浏览器里按原图分辨率完成。去杂物、去路人、去文字、去水印只把要擦掉的那一块周围（长边最多 1536 像素）发到我们的服务器，由 AI 模型补好后返回。超级分辨率 2×（放大 2 倍）把图片（长边最多 1440 像素）发到我们的服务器，由 AI 模型放大到宽高各 2 倍后返回。这些图片、遮罩、补好的那一块和放大后的图只用于这一次请求：处理用的副本 1 小时内自动删除。为了防止这些免费功能被滥用，我们按 IP 地址（只存按天加盐的哈希）和已登录账号记录请求次数，保留 2 天。如果你希望图片完全不离开设备，可以在「首选项 › AI 助手 › 选择主体」里选「快速」（它只按背景颜色抠图），去杂物在「去杂物 / 移除」里选「内容识别填充（本机）」，放大在「超级分辨率」里选「保留细节（本机）」。
账号（可选）
不登录也能使用编辑器。登录（邮箱验证码或 Google）后，我们保存你的邮箱、Google 提供的姓名和头像（仅 Google 登录）、套餐、界面语言，以及你最近使用各个 Pip 产品的时间。同一个账号可用于 Photopip 和 Vectorpip。
云端 AI 助手（需登录）
你向云端 AI 助手发送请求时，你的文字和一张缩小的当前画面会发到我们的服务器，由 AI 模型生成回答。除非你在「账号」里关闭「保留我的 AI 对话」，对话原文（文字和发送的图片）会保存 30 天，用于排查问题、改进助手。
反馈与错误报告
你发送反馈时，我们保存你写的内容、你填写的联系邮箱（可选），以及你勾选后才附上的画面截图或当前文档。出错时，编辑器会发送错误报告：错误信息、浏览器、版本号和文档的基本情况（尺寸、图层数、当前工具），不包含图层名、文字内容或图像。
使用统计
对已登录用户，我们按天统计用到了哪些编辑命令（例如「导出 PNG：3 次」）。在 photopip.com 上，我们使用 Google Analytics 4 和 Microsoft Clarity 了解访问情况；只发送事件名和技术信息（命令、文件格式、耗时），不发送文件名、图层名、文字或图片，Clarity 不录制画布。
数据在哪里处理
编辑、文字识别和人脸检测在你的设备上运行。AI 抠图、AI 修复、AI 放大、云端 AI 助手、账号、反馈和错误报告在我们的服务器上处理，也会用到我们选用的托管、数据库和统计服务；它们只代表我们、按我们的要求处理数据。账号记录存放在美国。
保留多久
AI 抠图、AI 修复和 AI 放大的图片、遮罩、补好的那一块和放大后的图：1 小时内自动删除；它们的请求次数：2 天。AI 对话及其图片：30 天。AI 请求记录：90 天；按天汇总的用量：最长 2 年。错误报告：最后一次出现后 90 天。反馈内容：为改进产品长期保留（垃圾信息 30 天后删除）；反馈附件：180 天。账号数据：直到你删除账号。
你的选择
你可以随时在「账号」里关闭 AI 对话保存、退出登录或删除账号。删除账号会删除你的资料、用量和 AI 记录；你发过的反馈会保留，但不再与你关联。如需获取或更正你的数据，请联系我们。
Cookie 与本地存储
编辑器把偏好设置、最近文件、自动保存数据以及（登录后）登录状态保存在浏览器本地存储里。Google Analytics 和 Microsoft Clarity 会在 photopip.com 上设置它们自己的 Cookie。
儿童
Photopip 不面向 13 岁以下儿童，我们不会有意收集他们的个人信息。
